Reconstructed Dresses are dresses that have already been made that we alter to something new. The process is much the same as a custom dress. First, you will need to schedule a consultation by visiting our Contact page. We will discuss the overall project, likes, dislikes, styles that work for you, design, fabric/materials, details, pricing, and any questions you might have. Depending on the reconstruction, a draft may be required using your measurements. There may be one or more fittings for the draft. Many reconstructed dresses need special attention for care and cleaning. Proper cleaning may be required or performed by us. If a total reconstruction is desired, the dress will be taken apart and reused according to the new design. New materials/fabric may also be purchased, depending on the design, and incorporated into the finished project. Several fittings may be required through the process of the reconstruction. The process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months based on the project.
